The Shoe Tree has recently expanded its services to include orthotics in the form of a strategic partnership with Thera-Ped Moncton located adjacent to The Shoe Tree. It is owned and operated by Alison Smith, daughter of Jon Andrews.

This unique father/daughter alliance echoes a similar pairing between Tilley s founder, Alex Tilley, and his daughter Alison. This partnership was born of the years of experience Alison learned from working at The Shoe Tree where she started while at school during summer holidays.

Here she observed an increasing number of customers requiring pedorthic care, and after completing an education in business, Alison naturally gravitated toward an interest in the family firm bringing a new dimension and vital dynamic into the equation with the result that Thera-Ped now has a brand-new, state-of-the art foot clinic in Moncton providing the services of a certified pedorthist.

Canadian Certified Pedorthist Deny Dallaire is on staff full time. With many years of experience, a caring and professional attitude Deny always has the patient's well being as his priority. In May 2003, after 4000 hours of specialized training, Deny was awarded the designation of Certified Pedorthist ( Canada) from the College of Pedorthics of Canada. He is also a member in good standing of the Pedorthic Association of Canada and serves on the Communications and Ethics committees

The unique feature of having the clinic located adjacent to and adjoining The Shoe Tree is it is extremely convenient for customers allowing them a large choice of footwear without having to leave the premises. In many cases, therapeutic insoles can be placed in the regular brands of shoes carried by The Shoe Tree such as Rockport, Clark s, and Saucony sneakers for the convenience of the customer.

An important quality which sets The Shoe Tree apart is their excellent team of support staff with a total of over seventy combined years of experience in the shoe business. At the forefront of customer care, the staff is a great source of input and advice to Jon Andrews regarding consumer trends and demands. As Jon Andrews says, It s a win-win situation as we benefit from customers input and they in turn benefit from our products and services.

Indeed, The Shoe Tree provides personalized, one-on-one service with every attention to detail. Additionally Jon s younger daughter Kate is now spending summers, while off from university, also helping out in the family business.
